Mespelbrunn Castle

Spessart is a big forest in this part of Germany and this small castle is nestled in the midst of this forest.

I think we are getting moderately better at selfies.  The small moat around this castle was unique.

This is a chapel just for this small castle.  Very convenient for COVID-19 social distancing if you ask me.

The tree with the darker shade of green had a limb of an oak tree grafted into it many years ago.  As a result, you can see in the following photo how there is a random oak branch in the midst of the other species of leaves.  I have never seen anything like that before.

The real question for me is whether or not his mask is better than mine?

Just up the road from the castle was a big logging operation that reminded of us of living in the Pacific Northwest and the logging industry around our old community.
