About four hours from Frankfurt is Lake Konstance which borders Germany on one side and also Austria and Switzerland on the other side.
Pictured below is the crossing from the city of Konstanz which is German into Switzerland or as it is spelled in German (Schweiz).
We travelled with Elder and Sister Richards on this trip and had a great time.
We traveled on a ferry to get across the lake to Konstanz. Much like the ferries we have travelled in the Seattle area on the Puget Sound.
This area is known from being the headquarters for the Zeppelin Company that made huge helium-filled air ships. We visited a local museum all about that.
The most famous Zeppelin was the Hindenburg which was tragically destroyed by flames.
Inside the museum they constructed parts of what the Hindenburg would have looked like and how it was constructed.
The mural shows some of the flights of the Zeppelins around the world.
Before we returned to Frankfurt, we wanted to visit this area once more. The Neuschwanstein Castle was a couple hours away, so off we went.
