Dresden, the capital of the federal state of Saxony, is characterized by its renowned art museums
and the classic architecture of the reconstructed old town.
We drove to Seiffen to see what wonderful treasures they might have in their shops.
Seiffen nestles in the heart of the Ore Mountains, which are famous for many Christmas traditions. As the silver and tin deposits declined, former miners had to look for new ways to feed their families. In addition to lace making and weaving, the local population turned to wood carving. (Wikipedia)
How in the world are we going to get this home?
We had no intention of purchasing a pyramid, but we decided we needed another souvenir from Germany.
We looked out at this church from our hotel window. This boys choir was practicing for their performance on the square below us. We attended the Sunday services and enjoyed the music and the spirit.
We stopped at the Freiberg Temple on our way home on Sunday.
Hopefully, we will be able to go back once the temples open up again.
