As new couples arrive, an orientation couple is assigned to help them get acclimated. Ralene and Don Bills had just arrived in Frankfurt. They spent 14 days in quarantine in Zagreb, Croatia before they could enter Germany. From the stories we've heard, it was more of a vacation than any kind of hardship. Welcome to Germany, Elder and Sister Bills!
Kevin and Michelle Sutterfield joined us as we could still only have one other person in our car, one of the Bills rode with them and then we switched off coming home.
See the little shop on the right? Joanne scored a cute little dress before going into the church.
This large Menorah in St. Kilian Cathedral caused us to question why...when we asked about it at the information desk, they said it was given to them by the Jewish community, but on Trip Advisor someone posted that "it pays tribute to Christianity's roots in Judaism."
We were unable to find a definitive answer, but it was kind of curious.
The Marienberg Fortress from the bridge.
"A whole lot of handsome," to quote one of those pictured!
