Baden Baden has natural hot springs and over the centuries it has been a popular spa destination. They say a Roman Emperor bathed in these waters. It lies in Southern Germany close to France on the way to Switzerland. It was reasonably quiet with the travel restrictions still in place for foreign visitors. It is also a gateway to Germany's famous Black Forest.
There is a beautiful park along this stream that we enjoyed.
The shopping area was pretty quiet as is the norm in this COVID-19 time.
All across the world there are rallies and protests because of the death of black man by a police officer in the US. Many are trying to raise awareness about racism and prejudice and we encountered this quiet one in Baden Baden. Wir sind das Volk means "We are the People." Another sign translated to "We are for Real Rights. We support the peaceful protests and don't understand the riots and looting and the chaos going on back home.
